Welcome To The Relationship Doc

Are you struggling to build or maintain the relationships you want?
Do you feel disconnected from your partner?
Perhaps you feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or discouraged, as though life is not unfolding the way you had hoped.
You may be hard on yourself, question whether you are “enough,” or find that painful thoughts and emotions are difficult to manage.
Sometimes, these feelings and self-critical beliefs are shaped by difficult earlier experiences that have not been fully processed or resolved. Those experiences can affect many areas of life, particularly our closest relationships.
You do not have to work through these struggles alone.

Brian Gersho

Relationship Therapy For Individuals And Couples

I’m Dr. Brian Gersho, also known as The Relationship Doc. Through psychotherapy, I help individuals and couples work through the effects of anxiety, depression, trauma, and difficult relationship patterns.

My goal is to help you better understand what is keeping you stuck, develop healthier ways of coping and connecting, and move toward greater emotional well-being, peace of mind, and more fulfilling relationships.

I work with both individuals and couples, using EMDR therapy as a primary approach alongside other evidence-based therapeutic methods.

For individuals, EMDR can help address the impact of distressing experiences, reduce symptoms that may be affecting your daily life, and support healthier relationship patterns.

For couples work, I take an active and collaborative approach to improving communication, navigating conflict more effectively, rebuilding trust, and strengthening emotional connection. My couples work incorporates many principles of the Gottman Method.

If anxiety, depression, or trauma or ongoing relationship difficulties are affecting your life, I invite you to reach out. Call 925-695-0402 or visit my contact page to schedule a consultation and explore whether therapy may be a good fit.

"I strongly recommend Brian as a couples and individual therapist – I have frequently done so myself. He has a soothing manner, is very empathic and is extremely bright. This describes what I would look to find optimally in a therapist of any sort (couple or individual). He continues to have a growing track record for me which speaks very strongly in his favor.”
