Throughout the world, marriage and long-term relationships are declining. In addition to that, marital sex is also declining. Marital sex in the United States is at once a week on average, for an average of seven minutes. Why is this? According to Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, it may be because marriage is based on the Christian concept of love when it ought to be based on the Jewish concept of lust.
