5 Relationship Management Strategies for Couples

Dr. Brian Ogolsky and his colleague Jill Bowers from the University of Illinois reviewed 35 relationship studies and 12,273 individual reports in their latest study to narrow down the best strategies that couples can use to improve their relationship. What they found was that the five most effective strategies are openness, positivity, assurances, shared tasks, and a shared social network. Openness involves both partners sharing their feelings with one another while positivity involves keeping cheerful during interactions with each other. Assurance is letting each other know that you both are serious and committed to the relationship.
