While one of the fun things about the new year is reflecting on the one just passed and creating goals to improve the one in front of us, it is unfortunate how many resolutions end up not only unrealized by the next year but even forgotten by the next month. Here is a plan to keep resolutions more realistic and prominent throughout the year. The first step is to make a resolution specific. Rather than resolving to be nicer to your spouse, you can resolve to do one nice thing for your spouse each week. This small change makes the resolution more measurable, so you can know exactly when the goal is reached.
